Hello!

For those of you who are new around here, this is where I tell my stories, and document my life with my little people! I also share the twists and turns of infertility and motherhood, and feature fun things likes like fashion, food and style.

After a dozen or so years working in the fashion industry, it’s been pretty neat to see my career bring me to this platform, my site that was once originally named after my daily top knot (true!) but now lives through my precious twin babes aka “buns”, Slater and Zoe.

I feel grateful my passion for writing and photography has turned into a business. And it’s pretty neat to see my blog on once solely on focused fashion evolve into a blog uncovering the real but joyful magic of motherhood! And life in general I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to share with each and every one of you, and whether your a fashion gal, mama, or friend, I hope this place can bring you a smile, laugh and hopefully a little support!

More about Carly:
Carly has worked in the fashion industry for over a dozen years with a background in marketing, public relations, social media, design, sales and modeling. Born and raised in Newport Beach, California, she’s a beach girl at heart who ventured off to the University of Colorado at Boulder and studied abroad in London. She moved to New York City immediately following graduation and landed a job as an assistant to the Designer and Creative Director of a fashion brand where she managed the PR, marketing, design and sales teams, helped design three complete collections and was the inspiration for the line’s signature best selling jean (“The Carly Jean!”) which graced the pages of WWD and many other key pubs including Vogue. She moved back to Southern California in 2009 where she directed a PR agency for five years and now consults for the same firm as well as several other clients. She currently lives with her husband and twin babies as a stay at home, but also working, and everything else kinda mama.
